You Make Me Smile

To start I just want to thank everyone who sent me a note or made a comment about my last post "Emoti-cards."  It is so great that everyone likes them so much because every time I look at them they make me smile.   So to show you all that "YOU" Make Me Smile here is a card that says just that!

I have had my "This and That" kit for awhile now and finally broke it out to play with it.  The Washi Tape and sticker are from that kit and I just love the colours and look of everything in the This and That series.   The "YOU" is from a single stamp called "Sunshine."  I just stamped it on a scrap piece of white and fussy cut it out.

 The background is a totally inspired idea I got off of Pinterest.  Do you have embossing folders laying around your craft room? If not you should, if you do then check out this great use for them!!  They are not just for embossing anymore! 
By simply adding a little ink to the raised side of the folder you can use it as a stamp.  No need for a big shot, you just lay it on the card and there you go!

Emoti-cards

I surfing the web today looking for some inspiration.   Nothing was working for me and maybe it is in part because it is a rainy, grey day out but I did not find anything to get my creative juices flowing.  This is rare for me because the internet usually has me rushing to my craft room for some me time.  

While I was on Facebook I made a little comment to some one and added my standard :).  This had me thinking, what if...

 I used circle punches for almost all of the emotes. I used the 1 3/4", 1' and the small circle from the Punch Pack.  I free had cut the straight lines. 

The challenge was finding Sentiments that I thought were fitting for the emotes.  I used Teeny Tiny Wishes and Petite Pairs. 

I had so much fun creating these and the possibilities are so vast!  Just Google Emoticons and wow there are loads!!

Challenge -- Freshly Made Sketches #86

It has been awhile since I did a Challenge but I was feeling stuck on a project today and just wanted some inspiration.  These challenges always get my creative juices flowing.  As I said in my last post I am totally in love with the Mosaic Madness set that is coming out soon so I put it to use on this card. 

The Sentiment is also from the new catalogue.  The set is called "Really Good Greetings."


The Colours are the new In Colours also; Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana!

Mosaic Madness -- Sneak Peek

This is one of the most exciting product bundles in the New Catalogue!  Mosaic Madness and a coordinating punch!   I have seen so many wonderful cards already on Pinterest and the possibilities are endless.  Colour will really come in to play with this set as you can really highlight the wonderful coordinating colours that are Stampin' Up's signature.  I am excited to get this on a Scrapbook page too!   Here is the first (of what I am sure will be many) card I created with this set.

The colours I choose for this card are Early Espresso, Whisper White and my new favourite colour Strawberry Slush!!! Yum.

I will be in my craft room again this week and I am sure I will have another card for you using this really fun set.

New In-Colours - Sneak Peek

I am in love with the In Colours coming out in the next catalogue and although I cannot tell you all the colours just yet here is a card I made with 3 of them! For this card I did a direct to paper technique with the ink pads.  I love how it turned out. It is kind of yummy looking I think.

The Sentiment and Coordinating punch are also from the New Catalogue and I just love the shape of this label set!  I really love how the font of this stamp fits in with the overall feel of the card too.  I am so excited to show you more from the new catalogue.
